Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez reported at least two people died from a tree falling on their homes in the Houston area due to strong winds.
US authorities reported Monday that at least two people died in Texas, United States, (USA), and more than two million people were left without electricity by the passage of Tropical Storm Beryl.

«He was sitting at home with his family, resisting the storm. An oak tree fell on the ceiling and hit the beams, the structure fell on the man. Wife and children unharmed», said Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez on social network X, referring to a 53-year-old father.
The sheriff also reported that a 74-year-old woman died in her bedroom after a tree fell through the roof of her house.
The specialized website PowerOutage reported that more than two million people are facing power outages.
In the early hours of this Monday, Beryl made landfall in the Texas town of Matagorda as a Category 1 cyclone on the Saffir-Simpson scale, with heavy rains in the southeast of the state, where strong winds are reported.
